Worms in humans are a severe problem worldwide. Known as helminthic infections, they are more prevalent than you may think. They infect up to 1.5 billion people worldwide and into the millions in the USA, per this 2021 study.
According to the above study, one particular worm infection, ascariasis, is widespread and can infect humans for years. It also kills over 60,000 people every year.
There are several prescribed medications for worms in humans; however, these drugs stop working because the worms become drug-resistant. And further, many of the medicines may kill the worms but not their eggs.
In addition, these medicines have some severe side effects, depending on which medications are used. Some of the side effects are:
- mental changes
- intracranial hypertension
- nausea, and
- abdominal cramps
- increase in liver enzymes
Scientists always look for natural substances to fight diseases. It appears from many scientific research reports that black seed oil (Nigella Sativa) has shown to be a broad-spectrum destroyer of many types of worms in humans, including their eggs. (Source: 2020 study – Section 6.11)
Let’s take a look at what worms can do to your body and how black seed oil can get rid of them with none of the side effects associated with ordinary antihelminthic (anti-worm) drugs.
The Types Of Worm Parasites And How They Affect You
Worms can grow from one millimeter to one meter in length inside you, and once in your body, they can infect almost any of your organs.
There are three classes of worms. They are as follows:
- Trematodes – called flukes or flatworms
- Cestodes – tapeworms
- Nematodes – roundworms
Worms In Humans Can Cause Severe And Permanent Damage
All three classes can cause numerous human diseases and symptoms. Worm infections should not be underestimated. They can cause permanent and irreversible damage to your body that will make you suffer for the rest of your life.
Scientists have discovered that they are masters of disguise. They use this ability to avert the immune system’s protective defenses.
Some worms cover their outer layer with your molecules to make themselves appear like part of your body, tricking the immune defenses.
How Can Worm Infections Harm You?
- bile duct
- the flow of blood through the liver (causing damage to the liver and elsewhere blood is needed)
- Block of lymph flow (causing elephantiasis where a part of your body, such as the arm, leg, or any other body part, enlarges several times its actual size)
Worms in humans can cause cysts to develop in your:
- body cavities
- nervous system
They can also suck the blood out of you, causing anemia and Vitamin B12 deficiency. In addition, these worms go to the bathroom inside you, and their excretions are toxic to your cells and tissues.
When it comes to children, worm infections suck vital nutrients from them, affecting their growth, overall health, and brain function.
The indirect damage comes directly from your immune system. The immune system immediately senses a foreign invader and goes into fight mode by producing inflammation to fight them off.
Most of the inflammation will occur in the skin, lungs, liver, intestine, central nervous system, and eyes because ordinarily, this is where the worms migrate to.
You will begin to experience joint pains, edema (swelling from fluid trapped in your tissues), and eosinophilia ( a rise in eosinophils, “a type of white blood cell” that reacts to allergies.) In this case, allergic reaction to the worms.
More importantly, since worms can live in your body for years, the inflammation will linger continually, causing irreversible inflammatory damage, torturing you for the rest of your life.
The bottom line is that some worm infections can slowly torture and ultimately kill you if they are not removed from your body. It is of utmost importance to combat the infection as soon as possible.
Black Seed Oil: A Natural Destroyer Of Worms In Humans
Black seed oil (Nigella Sativa) may arguably be the best medicinal plant globally and the most studied by scientists.
It has been used for millennia for countless health problems. Would you please read my previously published article, “The Potent Benefits Of Black Seed Oil – Updated 2021,” to help you understand how potent and incredible this natural plant is for your overall health.
Studies have proven that black seed oil (BSO) is a natural annihilator of worms in humans.
Not only can BSO kill worms on its own, but it can complement and enhance the potency of antihelminthic drugs if taken together.
BSO was used simultaneously with praziquantel (a commonly prescribed anti-worm medication) to treat schistosomiasis (a worm infection that kills and sickens thousands worldwide and is the most deadly and neglected tropical disease).
The results showed that BSO enhanced the potency and effectiveness of praziquantel.
It has also been effective against the following worm infections: (Source: 2020 study – section 6.11)
In another study, black seed oil was given to children infected with
nematode and cestode worms. BSO was effective at killing their eggs.
Many other studies have shown the broad-spectrum effectiveness of BSO against many types of worm infection. For example, the oil was effective against:
- Aspiculuris tetraptera and Hymenolepis nana (study)
- Schistosoma mansoni miracidia, cercariae, and adult worms (study)
- Ascaris suum (study)
- Earthworms, tapeworms, hookworms, and nodular worms (study)
In a more recent 2021 research report, scientists conducted a laboratory experiment comparing the potency of Nigella Sativa to albendazole, a potent anti-worm drug against fluke worms called Fasciola gigantica.
The results were astounding. N. Sativa killed all the worms in 15 minutes, while albendazole took 30 minutes, double the time.
A separate study published in July 2021 by the Egyptian Journal of Hospital Medicine showed that thymoquinone, black seed oil’s main compound, was highly effective against Schistosoma mansoni, a worm that wreaks havoc on the liver.
How Does Black Seed Oil Kill Worm Infections?
According to research, black seed oil generates oxidative stress against them. (Study – section 6.11)
Oxidative stress sicken and kills people when free radicals overtake their antioxidant defenses.
Examples of factors that cause oxidative stress in our bodies are:
- cigarette smoking
- air pollutants
- industrial chemicals
These can sicken us or kill us quickly or over time.
Black seed oil does the same thing to the worms. It mimics the drug, cigarette smoke, inflammation, etc., that generates oxidative stress and reduces the antioxidant defenses in the worms, killing them and their eggs.
Worms in humans are a severe problem worldwide. Anyone can get infected.
Personally, I don’t want a three-meter-long worm crawling throughout my body and torturing me for the rest of my life.
Drugs are appearing to be weakening against these parasites. The worms are becoming drug-resistant.
Science has shown the effectiveness of black seed oil against worms and a host of other diseases.
BSO should be incorporated into everyone’s daily diet as a preventative against worms and countless other diseases.
If you suspect you have been infected with a worm, do not hesitate to take black seed oil. It may save your life.
As always, speak with your medical provider about any medical issues before using substances to treat the problem.
